For the past five years, the BTA has been celebrating Tamil Heritage Month with Thaipongal Vizha. The Brampton Tamil Seniors Association (BTSA) is also our partner association for this event. In this event, we have been conducting an award ceremony for the winners of the Tamil Competition who have shown their great prowess in the Tamil language. The two associations also support our traditional Tamil dances, music and other cultural programs.
The Tamil Literature Competition will be held on January 10th, 2026.
Carabram is an annual multi-cultural festival in Brampton, Ontario, founded in 1982. The festival was founded by volunteers from different ethnic communities wanted to organize a festival celebrating diversity and cross-cultural friendship. Eeelam Pavillion joined the Carabram in 2013 for the first time and has since completed five successful years. Further, during this three-day long celebration, our female members fundraised for the Brampton Hospital and we donated the funds in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

BTA's Youth group was launched back in 2017. Since then, we had series of events and work shops were conducted. Communication, team work and post-secondary guidance panel interviews were some of the activities we carried out. Our Youth also participate in many volunteering roles at BTA major events and plays an integral part of the organization.
We are planning for major youth themed events for 2021 and more information will become available soon.
